IP Network and Security Engineer

Our client is a leading telecommunication services provider with a strong presence in the Bulgarian market. The company has over 20 years of presence in our country as one of the first mobile operators with high standards in the care of its employees and customers.

Their successful partnerships with many leading vendors in this field provide them with a wide range of different products and services (areas such as SaaS, IT Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Network Security, etc.) that they offer, implement and support for their corporate customers. For their international team of specialists who work on providing services to large corporate clients in European countries, we are looking for a network engineer with experience in planning and implementing network security solutions. The position is based in Sofia and allows hybrid work from office/remote option.


IP Network and Security Engineer


Responsibilities:

- Plan, test, implement, operate and maintain technical solutions;
- Execute verifications, changes, software upgrades, etc.;
- Coordinate with on-site field engineers team equipment implementation at customer premises;
- Manage multiple technical implementation projects with minimal supervision;
- Perform problem isolation and troubleshooting in IT environments;
- Work in exclusively international English speaking environment;
- Give internal presentations and trainings.

Requirements:

- University degree preferably in the technical field;
- Work experience with IP and security product lines solutions from multiple vendors;
- Experience with networking (Cisco, Nokia, Meraki or others) – SD-WAN, LAN, MPLS, IGP, BGP, MPLS services;
- Experience with firewalling - Barracuda Networks, Cisco, Checkpoint or others;
- Experience with enterprise switching, routing and VPN technologies;
- Knowledge of the common network and security platforms;
- Certification from major security or network vendors on professional level or relevant experience;
- Good command of English language;
- German would be an advantage, but is NOT a must.
