Network Solutions Automation Architect

Our client is a leading telecommunication services provider with a strong presence in the Bulgarian market. The company has over 20 years of presence in our country as one of the first mobile operators with high standards in the care of its employees and customers.

Their successful partnerships with many leading vendors in this field provide them with a wide range of different products and services (areas such as SaaS, IT Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Network Security, etc.) that they offer, implement and support for their corporate customers. For their international team of specialists who work on providing services to large corporate clients in European countries, we are looking for a network architect to help with the design, planning and overseeing of complex network automation projects. It is a senior position within their international ICT center, that would lead the work on high-priority and large scale projects for international customers. with experience in planning and implementing network security solutions. The position is based in Sofia and allows hybrid work from office/remote option.


Network Solutions Automation Architect


Responsibilities:

- Find solutions for complex problems and the delivering of high-profile projects in the IP network area;
- Maintain a proper record of technical documentation (Solution Description, Network Implementation Plan, Low Level Design, User Guide);
- Participate in lab testing to ensure that performance expectations are met;
- Play a crucial role in the configuration, operation, monitoring, testing, and maintenance of ICT/ITS services;
- Develop technological ideas and guide their development and implementation along with ensuring key performance indicators are well-defined and measurable;
- Serve as an escalation point in case of performance issues;
- Develop and maintain partnerships with key vendors;

Requirements:

- University degree in the field of IT;
???????- Prior experience as a Network Solution Architect or in a similar role (network architecture experience is a must);
- Previous experience in the area of IP/MPLS networks; good understanding of Service Providers' Networks and Services;
- Experience with at least one of the common Cisco/Juniper/Nokia SP platforms;
- Design, implementation, and optimization project experience with network automation and DevOps awareness;
- Network programmability basic understanding of NETCONF/YANG, REST, JSON, XML, YAML, and Network telemetry;
- CI/CD and SCM knowledge (Jenkins, Go pipelines, Robot, Git);
- Experience working with network automation libraries and frameworks (Netmiko, Scrapli, Nornir);
- Good knowledge of Linux systems;
- Certificates within the network/security domain (CCNA, JNCIS, Nokia NRS) would be seen as an advantage;
- Good knowledge of BGP, VRF, VPLS and EoMPLS, EVPN;
- English language fluency;
