System Administrator (Linux)

Our client is a leading telecommunication services provider with a strong presence in the Bulgarian market. The company has over 20 years of presence in the Bulgarian market as one of the first mobile operators with high standards in the care of its employees and customers. As a result of their strategic expansion, our client is looking for a “System Administrator” to join their team. They are looking for a specialist with experience in Linux administration, preferably on a large scale, with virtualisation, server orchestration and good knowledge in automation and bash scripting.

System Administrator (Linux)


Responsibilities:

- Perform operational maintenance on the company’s complex Linux environment;
- Be part of new and ongoing implementation projects by contributing to the design, sizing and specifications required for new builds, or changes to existing environments;
- Proactively assess and improve the environment with a focus on Linux servers and services;
- Maintain the life cycle of managed server systems;
- Ensure operational SLA targets and KPIs are met.

Requirements:

- University degree in Informational Technologies, Computer Systems or similar;
- Experience in Linux OS installation, configuration and administration ( RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu etc.) in virtualized environments and/or bare-metal;
- Experience with Container and Orchestration Platforms like Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes;
- Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Postfix, Apache, Nginx, MySQL etc.;
- Scripting knowledge (Python or bash);
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
