IT Monitoring Engineer (SCOM)

Our client is a leading telecommunication services provider with a strong presence in the Bulgarian market.  The company has over 20 years of presence in our country and acts as one of the first mobile operators with high standards in the care of its employees and customers. With headquarters in Vienna, the Bulgarian telecom is acting as a technical hub which supports many Austrian projects and the overall applications and IT infrastructure of their Austrian counterparts. This is why they are currently looking for an "IT Monitoring Engineer" to strengthen their team who monitors, configures and administrates the internal infrastructure of the company there. It is a full-time position that allows a hybrid model of work in a quite enrichening, supportive and rewarding international environment.

IT Monitoring Engineer (SCOM)


Requirements:

• Perform administrative tasks from the System Center Operation Manager (SCOM)
• Provide application and infrastructure support for the SCOM platform
• Perform scripting, queries and performance tuning
• Collaborate in the building of and integration of data into advanced and actionable visualizations;
• Develop indicators that identify anomalous activities;
• Enable monitoring for internal infrastructure and integrate alerts with ticketing systems to maintain minimal service outages; 
• Troubleshoot and resolve reported problems.
 
Requirements:
 
• Experience in Windows Server Administration and MS Applications (e.g. Active Directory, Sharepoint, Exchange);
• Experience with automation and PowerShell scripting;
• Understanding of regular expressions (Regex);
• SQL Querying knowledge;
• Basic network and application architecture knowledge;
• Ability to isolate problems between hardware and software and provide information to the appropriate team(s);
• Fluency in English language, German will be considered as an advantage.
