We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic draughtsman to join our multi-disciplinary team. 
 
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Draughtsman, you will play a crucial role in the design process of various roofing projects. Your primary responsibility will be to create detailed drawings that accurately represent the specifications and requirements of the roofing project. You will collaborate closely with architects, and other team members, to ensure that all designs are precise, clear and adhere to relevant standards and regulations. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
TECHNICAL DRAWINGS 
Using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, to prepare detailed and accurate drawings based on project requirements, sketches, and specifications. (These drawings may include architectural plans, or structural elements).

PRECISION AND CLARITY
Ensure the precision and clarity of the drawings, ensuring they are error-free and easily understandable by relevant stakeholders such as contractors and fabricators.
Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and codes relevant to the specific project, such as building codes, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
Collaborate with architects, and other professionals to gather essential information and incorporate design changes as required. Site visits with clients to gather feedback and ensure client satisfaction.
DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
Maintain organized records and documentation of drawings, revisions, and versions to facilitate efficient project management and future reference.
QUALITY CONTROL
Review and inspect drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements before finalizing and distributing them.
COST AND MATERIAL OPTIMIZATION
Work with the team to optimize designs in terms of cost and material usage without compromising on quality and functionality.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Stay updated with advancements in CAD software and relevant technologies and apply best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Assist in resolving design-related issues that may arise during the construction phase and provide the necessary support to address any challenges.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
A diploma or degree in Draughting.
Relevant certification and training in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software will be an advantage.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Hands-on experience in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk or similar tools. Familiarity with relevant roofing industry standards and codes related to the specific field (e.g., architectural)
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in creating drawings to ensure precision in project execution.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITIES
Demonstrated ability to identify and solve design-related issues and propose effective solutions.
TIME MANAGEMENT
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
TEAM PLAYER
A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Previous experience as a draughtsman in roofing design is a MUST. 
(i.e., IBR sheets, corrugated sheets, liped channels and profiles).
