Responsibilities Of The Candidate:
- Oversee all daily activity, ensuring all supervisors are in control
- Provide updates to the Warehouse Operations Manager at regular intervals
- Oversee and ensure receipt accuracy
- Ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled as per loading schedule.
- Oversee all outbound loads and pallets are scanned and loaded as per load plan, working along with transport.
- Monitor shift & individual performance through visible observations and supervisor feedback.
- Support the supervisors by acting upon any concerns raised by them pre or during shift.
- Ensure all daily and weekly targets are achieved.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to understand strategy and direction of the warehouse. Actively supporting and driving new initiatives to create a more efficient, service driven & cost-effective operation
- Support with the creation of new and updated work instruction
- Owning the roll out programme and for ensuring all employees have received the correct level of training to perform their duties.
- Ensuring that that the full team are operating in line with their trained ability at all times.
- Actively seek new ways to improve the receipting process, using feedback from the team to provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Accountable for inducting all new starters into the business successfully.
- Management of underperforming members of the team and being able to lead performance improvement plans with these members.
- Conduct daily & weekly team briefs.
- Promote an ‘audit ready’ mindset across the team, actively addressing any areas that need attention.
- Provide recommendations for any areas that need further investment or support Engage with the team to promote near miss, incident & accident reporting
- Ensure an effective handover is completed at the start and end of shift.
