INTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Our mission is to deliver durable, environmentally friendly roofing products that exceed industry standards. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Internal Sales Representative to join our team and play a crucial role in our continued success.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through phone and email interactions. Provide expert knowledge and information on steel roofing materials, pricing, and availability to assist customers with their inquiries.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our roofing products, their applications, and benefits. Keep up to date with industry trends and competitor offerings to effectively promote our products.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for customers. Collaborate with other departments, such as the pricing team, to ensure pricing is in line with market conditions.
  • Process and manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely delivery. Coordinate with logistics and production teams to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and proper installation techniques. Provide technical information and guidance to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets by proactively identifying sales opportunities and upselling additional products or services to customers.
  • Utilize the company’s Customer Relations Management (CRM) system to maintain customer records, track interactions, and manage leads and opportunities.
  • Address customer concerns, resolve issues, and escalate more complex matters to the appropriate departments for a resolution.
  • Stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. Share insights with the sales team and management.
  • Generate regular sales reports and provide feedback to management on market dynamics and opportunities for improvement.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent: a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales, in the steel roofing or steel construction industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of steel roofing products and their applications is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results orientated and self-motivated with a passion for sales.
