Our people are working in construction teams with the client, engineering firm, architect, and contractor. This way, we are involved from the design phase to the execution phase and any maintenance of a project. This proactive approach allows us to provide the right competencies to the construction team at any point in the process. During the design phase, we can call on our extensive study service and BIM department. During execution, project managers and building management systems specialists play their part. This approach results in addressing the technical bottlenecks together and devising the best solutions together. This way, budget, quality, timing, and safety are optimally guaranteed.
HVAC
We do not only install, but also repair and maintain, in short, a one-stop-shop for all HVAC projects from 1 to 6 million euros. We perform HVAC installations on behalf of contractors, government, industry, engineering firms, finishing companies, and many more. We provide a full-service HVAC installation, where optimal implementations are considered at every step of the construction process. Thus, we also offer electrical solutions for a seamless implementation in the building.
Electro techniques
Our project leaders provide an integrated story of all electrical techniques from the engineering phase to the execution and this for general electrical installations, access control, fire safety and integration with all possible green energy applications such as CHP, solar panels, KWO etc. Also, the installation of charging stations is no stranger to us.
We are looking for construction site foremen with a strong electrical background to lead their project construction sites. We need people with experience on construction sites that have the capacities to lead and coach their team.
 
Responsibilities:
  1. Financial
    • Detect additional work and changes (for example, if the clients ask for more than was originally drawn up, the planning must be adjusted, and the client must be contacted.
    • Have work orders (assignments for subcontractors) signed off.
    • Check on the quality of the delivered work.
    • Make sure the invoices we receive are valid.
    • Ensure the efficiency of your own teams (subcontractors + our staff).
    • Assign work when necessary.
  2. Technical
    • Technical control in accordance with implementation.
    • Is work done in according to the electrical plan?
    • Are the right materials used?
    • Are cables correctly connected to electrical cabinets?
    • Prepare the site for your team (for example, mark outlets and lamps etc.)
    • Follow up on the performance and execution of the project (solve possible mistakes made).
    • Attend site meetings at the request of the project manager.
    • Follow up on the quality of work done.
    • Did subcontractors deliver qualitative work?
    • Did our staff deliver quality work?
    • Respect the test procedures.
    • Make sure everything is ready for inspection.
    • Test all that is necessary before the inspection.
    • Detailed control of the execution of the project.
    • Detailed control of the functionality.
  3. Organizational
    • Monitor the construction site cleanliness.
    • Create an equipment list (when will we need which materials?).
    • Monitor the equipment flow on the construction site.
    • Make a planning for when which materials are needed.
    • Order extra materials when necessary.
    • Monitor the tools on the construction site (for example, if subcontractors use equipment, ensure it is returned).
    • Create and follow up on the construction site schedule.
    • How many staff are needed?
    • Monitor timelines?
    • Monitor and report safety hazards to the project manager and the prevention advisor (for example, not enough light in the stairwell).
    • Direct the subcontractors.
    • Management of the plans and technical sheets in function of the execution of the project (each product has a manual and technical sheet that you need to keep in case the subcontractor or the client needs this).
    • Management of the own team on multiple construction sites (for example, related to task planning).
    • Communication with the client (site manager, project manager).
  4. Coaching
    • Supervise the discipline on the construction site (punctuality, work done, break time, cell phone use).
    • Be a role model for your colleagues.
    • Onboarding of new employees.
    • Take care of your team.
 
PROFILE
  • You have a technical bachelor’s degree in electromechanics or electricity. 
  • You need advanced knowledge of electricity and superior knowledge of construction sites.
  • You need to read electrical plans.
  • You have good and clear English or French skills at B2-C1 level, this is the language you will communicate in. 
  • You have at least 5 years of experience working on construction sites in a leading role.
  • You are willing to work in a hands-on function on a construction site.
  • You have a valid driving license B and experience driving.
 
CONDITIONS
Regular hours per week  40h/week
Paycheck Monthly
Gross salary / hour €22-€26 (depending on experience)
Average net salary / month €2500-€3000

                                                  HOUSING & TRANSPORTATION
  • We provide free shared accommodation for the first six months. A separate room is always provided.
  • The employee is obliged to pay tax on "free housing". The amount depends on the price of the flat but is much lower than the actual cost of accommodation. We assume that this will be between € 200-400 per month.
  • The employee has six months to find their own accommodation. The total cost of renting a flat fall on the employee after six months.
  • If the employee decides to move to independent accommodation before six months have expired, we will not financially compensate the loss.
  • Similarly, if the applicant is already living in Belgium or if they secure their own accommodation from day one, we will not compensate the loss financially.
  • We will provide a small van and fuel card to travel to work, not for private use. 
  • The cost of the travel to Belgium is paid by the employee. We do not cover the cost of travel to Belgium.
 
NON EU CANDIDATES
  • It will take approximately five to six months to receive a residence and work permit in Belgium, so candidates who are offered a job are asked not to give notice too early.
  • Workers from outside the European Union are obliged to cover the costs of issuing a police clearance certificate, medical examination, legalization, and translation of documents themselves.
  • The cost of the visa (€180) is covered by us. We also cover the cost of the administrative fee which must be paid in Belgium at the time of the single permit application.
     
SELECTION PROCESS
  • The first interview will be with the recruiter to ensure that the candidate is aware of the vacancy and the terms and conditions for which he/she is applying. We will also check the candidate's motivation to work for the position they applied for.
  • The second interview will be with the HR representative via Teams/Zoom in English.
A third interview will be a technical interview with the Division Manager.
