Python Data Scientist/Analyst

Job Responsibilities:
1. Python Code Development: * Develop robust and efficient Python code to address complex business challenges. * Utilize your analytical abilities to create elegant solutions that align with our strategic goals. * Leverage Python libraries and frameworks to process, analyze, and visualize data effectively.
2. Business Sense and Insights: * Apply business acumen to interpret data and derive actionable insights. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions. * Use statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to uncover patterns and trends.
3. Clear Communication: * Clearly articulate your thought process and logic when writing code, whether in Jupyter notebooks or other suitable mediums. * Collaborate with researchers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Code Maintenance and Documentation: * Identify and fix bugs in existing codebase. * Create comprehensive documentation to facilitate code maintenance and knowledge transfer.
5. Data Analysis: * Leverage your extensive data analysis skills to address critical business queries. * Work with diverse datasets, including those from Kaggle, the UN, the US government, and other relevant sources. * Transform raw data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: * Engage proactively with researchers and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations. * Collaborate closely to ensure that project outcomes align with organizational objectives.

Person Specification:
* Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. * Experience: * Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a data scientist. * 2+ years of hands-on data analysis experience, with a passion for advancing the field of artificial intelligence. * Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Python programming with a track record of developing effective solutions. * Strong data analytic abilities to extract meaningful insights from datasets. * Business acumen to interpret conclusions and communicate key findings clearly. * Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: * Demonstrated ability to tackle complex issues and provide innovative solutions. * Comfortable working with diverse datasets and drawing actionable conclusions. * Communication Skills: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. * Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, researchers, and cross-functional teams.
